Wadsworth Atheneum , Hartford

Curious about how your colleagues handle advertising, pricing, scheduling, hosting, following up, and evaluating their field trip experiences? Struggling with questions about these topics and looking to discuss solutions with a network of museum education professionals? Join us as we “dissect” museum field trips and learn from each other.

Presenters, including John Mooney, Education and Outreach Manager at the Windsor Historical Society, Patricia Faulds of the Connecticut Science Center and Kathleen Holko, Manager of School and Tour Services at the Bruce Museum, will share case studies, followed by a roundtable discussion. We’ll also share the findings from our “Tell us About Your Field Trips” survey. Haven’t completed the survey yet? To complete the survey, Click Here by Wednesday, September 14 to have your responses included in the report.

Please bring a copy of any promotional materials or evaluation tools that you use to share with the group! Space for a brown bag lunch and complementary admission to the galleries following the meeting will be provided by our generous hosts at the Wadsworth Atheneum. The museum café will also be open for lunch. Visit thewadsworth.org/ for more information on current and upcoming exhibits.

Registration is FREE.

Parking and entry:

Please enter through the Avery Entrance, since the museum will not yet be open to the public. There will be someone to direct you to the meeting at the front desk.
