 ABOUT

The Annual CLHO conference attracts more than 250 museum professionals, board members and volunteers representing the over 400 history museums, historical societies, historic sites, historic house museums, libraries and archives in Connecticut.

This full-day conference offers an Exhibitor and Vendor Hall, the Award of Merit Luncheon and Awards presentation, and opportunities for net-working with people just like you

THEME

What makes your organization thrive? Perhaps a strong vision and well-articulated values guide your core mission, or remarkable programs and creative exhibitions strengthen your connections with the community. On the inside, perhaps it’s your wise resource management, an effective Board of Directors, inspirational leadership, or thoughtful strategic planning. No matter the ways your organization thrives, strategies for success—and success born of failure—are important. The Connecticut League of History Organizations invites you to share your insights at the CLHO Annual Conference on June 5, 2017. T he full-day conference is the perfect opportunity to discover practical advice, skills, and to participate in discussions, as well as network with your colleagues. Share your inspiring, practical success stories to help shape a thriving future for our field. It’s inspiring!

REGISTRATION

Registration will open in April, 2017!

FIRST TIME ATTENDEES

It can be daunting to walk into a large conference on your own! If you or your organization is new to the CLHO, please let us know when you register, or even when you sign in. We're happy to assign you a "buddy" who will make sure that you've met new colleagues and be there to answer any questions.

AFTER CONFERENCE ACTIVITY

Drinking Around Museums, Hartford, will host an after-conference event at the conference center's pub and restaurant, Silver City Sports Bar & Grille. This is a great time to relax, and hang out with colleagues and skip the rush hour traffic.

LOCATION

This year's conference will return to the Four Points by Sheraton hotel, located at 275 Research Parkway in Meriden, CT. There is ample parking located on the premises.
